What the label says:

On June 23rd, Manchester band The Courteeners are set to continue their amazing story for 2008 with the release of a new single.

‘No You Didn’t, No You Don’t’ will feature a collection of covers as exclusive B-sides giving an insight into the four piece’s key influences that have shaped the band being heralded as the saviours of their home city’s proud music scene.

It’s been a year of amazing moments for Liam Fray and co. Not only did the band get to meet Bono and The Edge of U2 when Liam followed them on to the stage at the Union Chapel for a solo set in aid of MENCAP but the band were in awe at the appearance of Morrissey at a recent London show. A major influence on all the members, Morrissey is now a confirmed fan and the band will play at the O2 Wireless Festival on the same day as the man himself at his personal invitation.

About the humble 7":

The humble 7" is the smallest of the vinyl formats (not including the ridiculous 5") and it's the perfect medium for transporting a couple of new songs by up and coming bands straight into your ears. They're fun and they take up less space in your house than something bigger would. They come in a plethora of exciting colours and fantastical packages, and you can fit about 14 minutes onto one 7". You may have to get up every few minutes to put a new record on but think of the exercise. Don't forget every record you buy plays at least 2 speeds (depending on your stereo) and you need to play all records on all speeds to get the maximum joy from your purchase.

'put that down, you don't know where it's been'
