What we say

Rating: happy This record left our Ant feeling happy.

Now the third single from Those Dancing Days called 'Run Run'. This is pure upbeat chirpy Swedish indie pop on Wichita with a foot tapping beat and it really builds in intensity. They're a wee bit more rocking than some of the Scandinavian indie pop stuff. Vocalist Linnea has a lovely voice. May appeal to folks that dig The Long Blondes, The Pipettes etc..Really catchy like.

OVERVIEW: Swedish pop darlings, Those Dancing Days release a brand spanking new single Run Run through Wichita Recordings on 7th July 2008.
Those Dancing Days return to these shores in June for their first ever tour of the UK. This summer will also see them play their first UK festivals.

The band is currently recording their debut album, whilst two of them study for their exams. The album is being recorded in Stockholm with Max-Mans and is to be finished in June when term ends and the summer begins. The album will be released later this year.

Those Dancing Days have released two singles to date through Wichita Recordings. The first, “Those Dancing Days”, was released in October 2007, with the follow up “Hitten” in February 2008.   Touring as often as school would permit throughout 2007 and early 2008, the band have made time for four UK trips so far and managed to squeeze in Holland, Germany and Sweden too. They have toured with Peter, Bjorn and John, Laakso, Mando Diao & The Cribs. With pounding drums, soaring keyboards and soul-filled angelic vocals, the band continue to hone their skills as a great live act.

Those Dancing Days are: Linnea Jönsson – Vocals; Rebecka Rolfart – Guitar; Cissi Efraimsson – Drums; Lisa Pyk-Wirström – Synth; Mimmi  Evrell – Bass Guitar.

About the humble 7":

The humble 7" is the smallest of the vinyl formats (not including the ridiculous 5") and it's the perfect medium for transporting a couple of new songs by up and coming bands straight into your ears. They're fun and they take up less space in your house than something bigger would. They come in a plethora of exciting colours and fantastical packages, and you can fit about 14 minutes onto one 7". You may have to get up every few minutes to put a new record on but think of the exercise. Don't forget every record you buy plays at least 2 speeds (depending on your stereo) and you need to play all records on all speeds to get the maximum joy from your purchase.

'Some people may think singing ain't my bag.'
