'Blackout' by The Whip has been dropped into the office like a rock onto a marooned fat kid who's lost his glasses and quite a tidy bit of electro-indie-pop it is too. The original version and the radio edit sound something like The Rapture being remixed by LCD Soundsystem, good time stuff that's a head-nodder and a toe-tapper. I likes it. Remixes across the three formats come from Ashley Beedle, Hadouken! and Graham Massey, who seems to be going remix keraaaayzee at the moment. About the humble CD single:

Another digital format and even though they can hold 80 minutes of information (like a CD album would) record companies only fill up a small portion of the disc. Sometimes only 1 or 2 tracks on there totalling 5 minutes or so. It's like going to a restaurant and getting a plate of food with 2 green beans on and wondering where the rest of your meal is. Sometimes they're lovingly packaged though and when the music is good then you're into a winner. Also you get videos on there sometimes which you can watch on your computer. That is excellent.
