The debut album from Medway 6 piece THE LONG WEEKEND featuring 12 new songs that channel taut, twitching rock’n’roll energy and the big crowd dynamic of sing-along pop, all mixed to anthemic glory by Paul Tipler.  Artwork is by the renowned design team The Designers Republic (Aphex Twin, Pulp etc) with 16 page, 3 Pantone artwork on heavy iridescent metallic paper. ’20 MINUTES, 13 STOPS’, is the title and The Long Weekend now want nothing more than to play its lean, wiry, hook-laden pop nuggets whilst buying trainers in Tokyo, meeting models in Milan and pulling all-nighters in New York. ‘Great single, great band’ – The Sunday Times (Sunday Times Culture piece Breaking Act). "The band’s brilliant new single, Record, conjures up sharply creased strides, strong tea and a pocket full of the folding stuff, and aims a broadside at people who talk the talk about quitting a small town for the big smoke, but never get there" The Sunday Times. The Long Weekend are playing regularly in London and Kent and have built up a healthy following with several UK Summer Festivals under their belts (Zoothousand, Lounge on the Farm and Glastonbury). The latest single “Falling In” is confirmed as Iain Baker’s ‘Single of The Week’ on NME.com / radio and is a fizzing, lazily anthemic burst of Timeless Melody,  chiming guitars and amphetamine drums. It casually flicks its cigarette at Teardrop Explodes and The Kinks and is already proving its point on discerning dance floors across the South of England.
