What the label says:More female fronted , lo-fi , fuzzed up , noisy pop.Recorded in the same session as the previous single , The Manhattan Love Suicides are all about catchy melodies buried under a pile of chainsaw guitars and pounding drums.They don't believe in sounding polished.The live experience is rough and raw and straight to the point...and the recordings are put together in very much the same way."Kessler Syndrome" is 3 and a half minutes of fine buzzsaw pop , and "Don't Leave Me Dying" is pretty much the same.Easy comparisons can be made with The Velvet Underground's more scuzzy sounding moments , and The Jesus And Mary Chain if you strip away that band's shiny production.This could almost be two tracks from a Girls In The Garage compilation...and all the better for it.Don't expect this band to clean up their act anytime soon |
