More goodness in the shape of an LP by Le Tigre which is on Chicks
On Speed's own label cunningly titled Chicks On Speed Records
(I sometimes think things would be less confusing for people if Jonathon
Whiskey was called Norman Records). Anyway they were one of those
riot girl bands, but one who made decent music. Which for those who may
remember the riot girl movement (it was some time ago) for all it's good
intentions the music was largely rubbish which I don't think helped anyone
in the end (apart from perhaps K Records?) . Back to this Le Tigre
thing and it's surprisingly good. It's quite old school sounding New Wave
sounding pop played with more balls than most blokes have. Good tunes
'n all. I like. Feminist Sweepstakes is out on LP and CD
