What we say

Rating: happy This record left our Phil feeling happy.

Also in is a 12" by They Came From The Stars and The Sonic Catering Band. Which is a Krautrock fest chugging chugger of mass proportions on the TCFTS side. Albeit with a few new noises chucked in for good measure. The Sonic Catering Band continue their quest to disturb the world with their side. They really remind me of a modern day Nurse With Wound. Though their side is quite chuggy at times with a constant Neu ish beat. Intermitently disturbed by random bits of noise. Nice..... I like this and I think it's pretty ltd but no idea what to. Mind you there's so many records released these days you could argue that everything is ltd.

About the humble 12":

The 12" is the big brother of records as it's an fatter version of the 7", with a vast scope for an array of remixes and B sides. They are slightly less portable their smaller inched brethren but they're by no means inferior. Often the grooves are spaced wider apart and thus sound much much better. You can fit ample tracks on and if worse comes to worse they make fine plates (should your crockery go awol). Yes, there's a hole but holes are easy to sort out. Once again they're available on many different colours and guises. The best thing about a 12" is the potential vastness of the artwork. Also playable on many speeds!!
