I've never been a big fan of Ladytron. I always thought there was something fake about their sound. Though what they do they, they do rather well but it always left me feeling cold. Soulless emotionless music (in my opinion anyway). Though I did like He Took Her To A Movie. This new single by 'em called Seventeen bucks the trend for me a little as I like it. No change in sound whatsoever but I think it's a better song than most. Electro indie pop with that signature European feel to it. You get a Soulwax and Droyds mix on there too if that interests anyone which I reckon it will. Have it large. Have it all European and electrolike... you know you want to.....

About the humble CD single:

Another digital format and even though they can hold 80 minutes of information (like a CD album would) record companies only fill up a small portion of the disc. Sometimes only 1 or 2 tracks on there totalling 5 minutes or so. It's like going to a restaurant and getting a plate of food with 2 green beans on and wondering where the rest of your meal is. Sometimes they're lovingly packaged though and when the music is good then you're into a winner. Also you get videos on there sometimes which you can watch on your computer. That is excellent.
