 This record left our Brian feeling happy.
Talking of those cheeky Skam types, we have 2 new releases on
the label, namely Freeform's newie, titled 'Human' on LP and CD
which is a bleeping, clattering affair with nice didgeridoo and marimba
efects on one tune and lashings of organic techno vibage on others, particularly
the excellent single 'You should get out more'. Heartily recommended.
The other is a lushly packaged 3" cd by Quinoline Yellow which
was preceded t'other week with those bloody car air freshener promo tools.
Called 'LMW motors', this is put together like some kind of car tax disc
affair which reminds me....I should get to the post office quick before
the feds crush my car into a cube! The usual jerky laptop rythyms apply
here. All very Skam, with elements of Bola and Boards
of Canada (God we're so lazy!) clearly in evidence. Big clattering
noise from Manchester silly stable. All mucho fun indeed!
