Mute Records have signed The Warlocks for some reason. God knows why but the fruits of their joint labour have landed here on 7" and CDs. Called Shake The Dope Out and it's pretty darn average and terribly un Mute like. Less like a bad Oasis than other Warlocks records and a bit psych rock. Brings the word tedium to a whole new level..... Warcocks more like....

About the humble CD single:

Another digital format and even though they can hold 80 minutes of information (like a CD album would) record companies only fill up a small portion of the disc. Sometimes only 1 or 2 tracks on there totalling 5 minutes or so. It's like going to a restaurant and getting a plate of food with 2 green beans on and wondering where the rest of your meal is. Sometimes they're lovingly packaged though and when the music is good then you're into a winner. Also you get videos on there sometimes which you can watch on your computer. That is excellent.
