The, quite frankly, annoying Manitoba brings forth another single from his 'Up In Flames' opus. 'Hendrix with Ko' is a further slice of tinny psychedelic electronic whimsy which thinks it's being clever when it actually sounds just like what Flowchart were doing 6 years ago fer fucks sake. This is a man capable of genius (see: the 'Giv'r' & 'If Assholes...' e.p.s) so when he takes off his rose tinted shades & just makes gorgeous, simple tunes like the b-side 'Cherrybomb' then all is forgiven. I know he's trying to vary what he does so why doesn't he go & make that astounding nu-garage classic that those e.p's threatened? . CDs & 12" thru Leaf.

About the humble CD single:

Another digital format and even though they can hold 80 minutes of information (like a CD album would) record companies only fill up a small portion of the disc. Sometimes only 1 or 2 tracks on there totalling 5 minutes or so. It's like going to a restaurant and getting a plate of food with 2 green beans on and wondering where the rest of your meal is. Sometimes they're lovingly packaged though and when the music is good then you're into a winner. Also you get videos on there sometimes which you can watch on your computer. That is excellent.
