Of all the bands you never expected to hear from again, the return of Campag Velocet is a most baffling one. Pete Voss & co release "Vindictive Disco", the first single for years. The original hoodlum singer (see: Audio Bully's & The Others), Voss keeps this rather unremarkable Oasis-esque tune plodding along at a head nodding pace for a few mins but I can hardly see them bothering the charts now (as if they ever did!) Not nearly as offensively bad as half the bands peddling this type of stuff today, mind, so if you were ever into them you may find this of some interest! On Pointy, home of The Clientele (!??)

About the humble CD single:

Another digital format and even though they can hold 80 minutes of information (like a CD album would) record companies only fill up a small portion of the disc. Sometimes only 1 or 2 tracks on there totalling 5 minutes or so. It's like going to a restaurant and getting a plate of food with 2 green beans on and wondering where the rest of your meal is. Sometimes they're lovingly packaged though and when the music is good then you're into a winner. Also you get videos on there sometimes which you can watch on your computer. That is excellent.
