They should be called The DelGAYdos really. Why do bands carry on when they've got nowt new to say? I always used to quite rate them to be honest, even when they started recording with Dave Fridmann & let themselves be turned into a Scottish Mercury Rev when there really was no need for one. But this is like yr old fat brother going back into the local of his youth & trying to woo the young ladies but to no avail cos all the flair & charm he once had had faded to a rather dull shade of grey & the times have moved on. The single is just really average & could be done with more panache by B&S or Camera Obscura even. C'mon guys?! Admit it. You'll never get anywhere near the pinnacle of grand indie pop perfection that was 'Peloton' for my money......'Universal Audio' receives a disappointing 6/10 if ever there was one.....

About the humble CD:

The CD is essentially a small portable face mirror which has an extra feature of being able to play music (through a thing known as a CD player). These CD's are a modern invention hence them being all shiny and digital. They can hold about 80 minutes of music and apparently are indestructible as you can smear jam on them and they still play (not as nourishing as toast mind you but when you're hungry.....). They sound crystal clear and are tiny convenient things. They lack the charm and warmth of their old analogue counterparts but their portability, convenience and ease of being duplicated make them a perfect thing of a thing for most folks. Jewel cases are the worst thing ever though and they really need to stop.
