Freak Scene by Dinosaur Jr.... I remember when I were a young 'un I used to throw myself around to this after gargling gargantuan amounts of watered down lager, throwing what I had left of my hair around and wearing shit clothes. Them were the days.... Now you too can re enact my youth by owning a reissue courtesy of Sweet Nothing. It's been jiggled around with and slightly remastered but to be honest this is such a good tune I can't imagine anyone ever being able to ruin it. I suspect that's wishful thinking. If you don't own a copy of this song and you like guitar indie rock then the simple truth is you don't like guitar indie rock otherwise you'd own it by now. On 7" and CD with a different B side to thar original. Mine's a snakebite and black barkeep.

About the humble CD single:

Another digital format and even though they can hold 80 minutes of information (like a CD album would) record companies only fill up a small portion of the disc. Sometimes only 1 or 2 tracks on there totalling 5 minutes or so. It's like going to a restaurant and getting a plate of food with 2 green beans on and wondering where the rest of your meal is. Sometimes they're lovingly packaged though and when the music is good then you're into a winner. Also you get videos on there sometimes which you can watch on your computer. That is excellent.
