This record left Dave feeling happy.
I really liked madvillainy in general, was a wicked album, but I prefer the Koushik remixes. They're really trippy and hazey, not as electronic and technical as the fourtet stuff. It's basically 60s Psy-pop mixed with Madvillainy; everything just kinda fades in and out together. Real good for a chillout session. The only problem is it's too short, 20 minutes or so. What we say
This record left our Brian feeling happy.
Yo hang there hip dawgs. Four Tet & his bitch, Koushik have been
nominated to remix a whole bunch of Madvillain trax over the course of 2 wack
off 12" platters. I'll review the 4T one cause of time constraints. He adds
a lazy, hazy pastoral electro-folk pulse to the whole smart conscious rhyme
thing so you're getting that whole urgent, rolling 'Glasshead' vibe underpinning
some fine raps. Reckon the Koushik one will be of similar quality.
