Super Furry Animals, Welsh mushroom consuming gods & Pete Fowler's paymasters storm back with a disco tinged squelch-a-thon of boogie-tastic proportions that screams stack heels, star shaped shades & sequined flares whilst retaining their joyful irreverent psych-pop roots. 'Lazer beam' is the stand out track on new LP 'Lovekraft' that grows, ebbs & swells even though you feel slightly disappointed at first . A maelstrom of strings & harmonies from the masters. It's no crime to mellow with age, & these boyos are like the finest whisky. You'd fucking really miss them if they were no longer around, like that daft uncle you only see at weddings, always pissed & falling over on top of the kids before passing out with a content smile on his ruddy face.

About the humble CD:

The CD is essentially a small portable face mirror which has an extra feature of being able to play music (through a thing known as a CD player). These CD's are a modern invention hence them being all shiny and digital. They can hold about 80 minutes of music and apparently are indestructible as you can smear jam on them and they still play (not as nourishing as toast mind you but when you're hungry.....). They sound crystal clear and are tiny convenient things. They lack the charm and warmth of their old analogue counterparts but their portability, convenience and ease of being duplicated make them a perfect thing of a thing for most folks. Jewel cases are the worst thing ever though and they really need to stop.
