What we say This record left our Brian feeling ecstatic. Wait till you see my top ten albums of the last ten years (we'll be doing this in the next week or two for our 10th birthday. Keep yr eyes peeled!!!!) Straight in there is the Clap Your Hands Say Yeah album. Utterly bloody wonderful. EVERY song. It finishes leaving me gasping in anticipation for more. That special. One of the songs is called 'In This Home On Ice' Which is like a cross between The Sundays & Cocteau Twins but New Zealand sounding with a man singing. That might sound rubbish to you but it sounds like perfection to me, believe me! If I wasn't so bowled over by the Vex'd single (see below) I'd give this SOTW. As it happens this song has been stolen off a precious album (where it truly belongs) so therefore none of this matters. Just buy the album, trust me. On Wichita, 7" & CDs

About the humble 7":

The humble 7" is the smallest of the vinyl formats (not including the ridiculous 5") and it's the perfect medium for transporting a couple of new songs by up and coming bands straight into your ears. They're fun and they take up less space in your house than something bigger would. They come in a plethora of exciting colours and fantastical packages, and you can fit about 14 minutes onto one 7". You may have to get up every few minutes to put a new record on but think of the exercise. Don't forget every record you buy plays at least 2 speeds (depending on your stereo) and you need to play all records on all speeds to get the maximum joy from your purchase.
