What we say This record left our Ant feeling unmoved. Peacefrog continue to provide soundtracks for television commercials. I remember when they were a kick ass techno label you know. This time they've dug up masters of the cover version Nouvelle Vague with their take on Modern English's 'I Melt With You'. Its quite a sweet track really but the association with a multi national mobile phone company just destroys it and makes me want to vomit scum. The B-side is their version of Undertones classic ' Teenage Kicks' which was also on the album. It's kind of a lounge version and in my opinion doesn't really do the original any justice, but lets face it, no cover of this track really could. Brian says he hopes Fergal Sharkey doesn't see any of the money. The Bastard.

About the humble CD single:

Another digital format and even though they can hold 80 minutes of information (like a CD album would) record companies only fill up a small portion of the disc. Sometimes only 1 or 2 tracks on there totalling 5 minutes or so. It's like going to a restaurant and getting a plate of food with 2 green beans on and wondering where the rest of your meal is. Sometimes they're lovingly packaged though and when the music is good then you're into a winner. Also you get videos on there sometimes which you can watch on your computer. That is excellent.
