The king of crooners Richard Hawley is back with a new single called Born Under A bad Sign (not the Cream cover mind you...).... it's both very Richard and Hawley.... CD features a video and the 7" is numbered of 1000..... What the label says:  Born Under A Bad Sign is taken from Richard Hawley's award-winning album, Coles Corner, which won the South Bank Show Pop Award beating Kate Bush and Gorillaz to the prize. The single is available on CD with exclusive new track Dark Road and the video for Just Like The Rain and on a limited edition 7” that comes backed with a beautiful version of I'm Just Here To Get My Baby Out Of Jail. Richard discovered the Everly Brothers version of this traditional song in his mother's record collection as a child. In addition, the single is available as single and bundle downloads including an exclusive iTunes acoustic version.

About the humble 7":

The humble 7" is the smallest of the vinyl formats (not including the ridiculous 5") and it's the perfect medium for transporting a couple of new songs by up and coming bands straight into your ears. They're fun and they take up less space in your house than something bigger would. They come in a plethora of exciting colours and fantastical packages, and you can fit about 14 minutes onto one 7". You may have to get up every few minutes to put a new record on but think of the exercise. Don't forget every record you buy plays at least 2 speeds (depending on your stereo) and you need to play all records on all speeds to get the maximum joy from your purchase.
