Rating: ecstatic This record left our Phil feeling ecstatic.

I have to move onto something I like now. Broadcast are one of my most favouritist bands ever and they're back with a new 7" on Warp (which I accidentally just discovered is one letter away from wasp... go figure!) They consistently write class tunes and don't pander to what is trendy. They're in a total league of their own. A league of one. They have slightly changed as their drummer has left to do the Seeland thing with that chap from Plone leaving just 2 folks in Broadcast. The drums were always one of my favourite things about them so I was a bit unsure about this new single. I can confirm that's it's classic Broadcast, though it sounds much more stripped down and basic. The tunes are there, the fuzzy warm sounds, the melty soft vocals albeit more lo fi. Give it a few spins and it makes more sense. Champion.
