Rating: unmoved This record left our Phil feeling unmoved.

So my first question to Ant when I showed him The Pipettes sleeve to the new album (called We Are The Pipettes) was which one would you do? Not very right on I know.... But we are men and our brains are in our pants which is an enormously debilitating curse. The whole album is balls out brashy monster pop somewhere between The Ronettes and S Club 7. They're the modern day Bananarama but in polka dots. Am not entirely sure how this early 60's candy coated pop came into fashion or why for that. Still it's here and they're in the top 40 singles which amazed me. I don't really take attention of the charts these days cos they're crap but I did notice than 17 of the top 40 are singles we have in stock (or have stocked). A scary prospect indeed considering nothing we used to sell ever charted ever.....
