Libby Floyd is THE DOUBTFUL GUEST and she makes her debut on Planet Mu this week with the storming 'Electrobots' EP. This is dark twisted acid funk aimed straight at the dancefloor. The groove is consistent throughout with the rhythms shifting between 4/4 and more straight forward electro beats. Very dynamic indeed. The tracks build as the acid is tweaked and the intensity increases. Top drawer techno action that would rock a party for sure. There should be more ladies making tracks like this in an underground scene that is male dominated. You go Girl!!! Rockin. What the label says:Whilst the last cinders of an old crack den in Frankfurt choked and died, a passer by happened to notice an old box of soiled Mokum shirts and slightly melted DATs. These two little classic acid/ardkore ditties were not amongst them. And, though The Doubtful Guest has not yet rescued many old German DATs, she does rescue lots of abandoned Mokum shirts.
