Full Time Hobby have put out MALCOM MIDDLETON's (ex-Arab Strap) debut full length 'A Brighter Beat' on ltd 180g vinyl and ltd special edition CD with 2 bonus tracks. This is a lot more straight up singer song writer stuff than the Arab Strap catalogue. There's a lot more commercial potential on here especially with the single being played on Radio 1. This man is a talented songwriter for sure. As ever the lyrics are intelligent and highly personal. Along with Alasdair Roberts there are some decent scottish singer / songwriters at the moment. Amazing they find time between tossing their big cabers and haggis munching. This was recorded at Castle of Doom Studios which is a fucking cool name for a studio.
