What we say
What the label says:The Lea Shores provide string-laden psychedelia from South London's paisley underground. Six strong they deliver guitar driven melodies supported by the mesmerising harmonies of twin brothers Simon and Nick Webb and aural sound-scapes from band violinist and Brian Eno cohort Nell Catchpole. Andy Bell of Ride and Oasis fame had this to say about them; “The Lea Shores are my favourite new band... I saw them supporting Brian Jonestown Massacre in Stockholm and was hooked straight away. Since then I've seen them in London a couple of times and they are pulling bigger crowds each time. The music is psychedelic and layered... distorted guitars and harmonies but underneath it's almost folk music. They should be big... they're already fucking epic!” They are to play The Royal Albert Hall at the end of March supporting Kasabian at their personal request and are sure to go from strength to strength. |
