What we say

Rating: unmoved This record left our Phil feeling unmoved.

Fantastic. The Manic Street Peachers are back with a new single. I thought they'd split up but they're still there with the man (Sony) subverting from within with their own brand of political orchestral pomp pop pub rock. This features Nina Persson from The Cardigans on vocals. This is the best thing about this, though I can see in the corner of my eye Ants leg is going like the clappers. It must be the Welsh blood in him. Great guitar solos and fantastic synth washes make this a force to be reckoned with.... I never know if sarcasm comes across that well in words sometimes. Your Love Is Not Enough is on 2 x 7" and CD.

About the humble CD single:

Another digital format and even though they can hold 80 minutes of information (like a CD album would) record companies only fill up a small portion of the disc. Sometimes only 1 or 2 tracks on there totalling 5 minutes or so. It's like going to a restaurant and getting a plate of food with 2 green beans on and wondering where the rest of your meal is. Sometimes they're lovingly packaged though and when the music is good then you're into a winner. Also you get videos on there sometimes which you can watch on your computer. That is excellent.
