What the label says:The long awaited new album from the original line-up of J Mascis, Lou Barlow and Murph – collectively Dinosaur Jr. 2005 saw the original trio reunited for several live dates, culminating in May 2006 with a day curated by the band at All Tomorrows Parties. Such was the demand to see them play together, they had to perform two sets, to huge acclaim. It was this success which led the band to return to the studio and produce new material. They remain recognisably Dinosaur Jr; the album retains their original, raw and distorted sound, whilst reflecting a changed, perhaps more mature approach to songwriting. The record includes two tracks written by bassist Lou ‘Sebadoh’ Barlow. |
