OVERVIEW: Recently signed to Warner Bros. Records. Northern Irish quintet Kharma 45 will release their debut single 'Where’s Your Spirit Man' on May 7th. The band’s debut album, as yet untitled, will follow later this year. Produced by Youth (The Verve, Primal Scream, The Charlatans), the gargantuan riff and pounding beats of Where’s Your Spirit Man mark Kharma 45 out as a thrilling emerging talent for 2007. Where’s Your Spirit Man is indicative of the direction of the band’s debut album that takes influences such as The Chemical Brothers, Muse and Oasis and blends them into a creative new sound. Where’s Your Spirit Man will be available on CD and 7" formats. Both versions will be backed with an exclusive new track entitled Roulette, whilst the CD also features a My Digital Enemy remix of the lead track. Having previously supported Faithless, Kasabian and The Who, as well as playing festival dates at Reading, Leeds, T in the Park, Wireless and Oxygen, Kharma 45 will soon embark upon a nationwide headline tour.

About the humble 7":

The humble 7" is the smallest of the vinyl formats (not including the ridiculous 5") and it's the perfect medium for transporting a couple of new songs by up and coming bands straight into your ears. They're fun and they take up less space in your house than something bigger would. They come in a plethora of exciting colours and fantastical packages, and you can fit about 14 minutes onto one 7". You may have to get up every few minutes to put a new record on but think of the exercise. Don't forget every record you buy plays at least 2 speeds (depending on your stereo) and you need to play all records on all speeds to get the maximum joy from your purchase.

'What do you want me to say? I f**ked your Daddy in the shower and had a snack.'
