I saw XCerts at the Ironworks at inverness, and instantly thought "FallOutBoy.... but good!" I then found them on their myspace page, and they are a good falloutboy. I havent got the single yet, but my book laughs is an excellent song (not their best mind, that would be i see things differently; only a live demo so far on their myspace).

Anyway, xcerts are a good, talented band that, unlike a lot of indie music lately, is musical. Buy the single, see them on their tour, and maybe they'll release a album at some point.

Rating: unmoved This record left our Maggie feeling unmoved.

The Xcerts with My Book Laughs which is a limited 7" and CDs on One Records. Indie rock sounding like Snow Patrol without the nappies. Power chords with Scottish vocals .... Like Aberfeldy. The B-side is an alright tune. I wouldn't buy it but can see it doing alright.
