The Owl Service have a CD out on Static Caravan. This is a 3" job limited to 200 copies. It's called Cine and it's 4 tracks of covers from cult films such as Wicker Man, Girl On A Motorcycle, Psychomania, Die Screaming Marianne. It's great!! The opener sounds just like Air... there's some nice classical bits, tinkling, biker sounding music. In fact I'm reminded of Music For Movie Bikers by Savage Pencil which is a cocking great album. Heartily recommended. Be Quick!! What the label says: 200 only 3" cd in red card sleeve with tracing insert and photo. Four tracks from classic films.

About the humble CD single:

Another digital format and even though they can hold 80 minutes of information (like a CD album would) record companies only fill up a small portion of the disc. Sometimes only 1 or 2 tracks on there totalling 5 minutes or so. It's like going to a restaurant and getting a plate of food with 2 green beans on and wondering where the rest of your meal is. Sometimes they're lovingly packaged though and when the music is good then you're into a winner. Also you get videos on there sometimes which you can watch on your computer. That is excellent.
