What the label says: Ali In The Jungle from The Hours debut album Narcissus Road, is set for release on July 9th though A&M Records. With a euphoric melody welded to an insistent riff… Ali In The Jungle is already a favourite at live shows, “it’s not how you start, it’s how you finish… it’s not where you’re from, it’s where you’re at…it’s the greatest comeback since Lazarus”. Audiences first heard the song in late 2006, when the song was given limited release in advance of the album; the track was Single Of The Week for both Jo Whiley and Zane Lowe. Ali In the Jungle will be released on CD and 7” vinyl, with previously unreleased b-sides ‘For A Moment’ and an orchestral version of the stunning ‘Back When You Were Good’. Narcissus Road was released in February and recently hailed by The Hours friend and sleeve designer Damien Hirst as “…fucking genius musically”.

About the humble 7":

The humble 7" is the smallest of the vinyl formats (not including the ridiculous 5") and it's the perfect medium for transporting a couple of new songs by up and coming bands straight into your ears. They're fun and they take up less space in your house than something bigger would. They come in a plethora of exciting colours and fantastical packages, and you can fit about 14 minutes onto one 7". You may have to get up every few minutes to put a new record on but think of the exercise. Don't forget every record you buy plays at least 2 speeds (depending on your stereo) and you need to play all records on all speeds to get the maximum joy from your purchase.
