What we say This record left our Maggie feeling unmoved. Bloc Party with Hunting For Witches on Witchita. Saw them play this on Jools Holland and it was a painful affair, but I think Mr Productino has a big hand in the sound of this band. Not as instantly singable as other b-party moments but its got that anthemic tension that angsty fans desire. Jerky B-side with some cock rock guitar action A.K.A Slash from G'n'R. 3rd track is a James Rutledge remix of a song called Uniform. What the label says: The third single from the album including brand new B-sides recorded with Eliot James in London.  The single will be available on two limited 7" formats; the first is a gatefold and a CD Maxi format. Weekend in The City was produced by Jacknife Lee and recorded at Grouse Lodge Studios in Ireland.

About the humble 7":

The humble 7" is the smallest of the vinyl formats (not including the ridiculous 5") and it's the perfect medium for transporting a couple of new songs by up and coming bands straight into your ears. They're fun and they take up less space in your house than something bigger would. They come in a plethora of exciting colours and fantastical packages, and you can fit about 14 minutes onto one 7". You may have to get up every few minutes to put a new record on but think of the exercise. Don't forget every record you buy plays at least 2 speeds (depending on your stereo) and you need to play all records on all speeds to get the maximum joy from your purchase.
