What you sayNo-one has reviewed Near Enough For Jazz/ Special Needs by Lovvers yet. What we say
What the label says:Second single from Lovvers. The debut, released in April, sold out in weeks. Vice magazine gave it 9/10; “Like Antioch Arrow on bad ecstasy”. Drowned In Sound gave it 9/10; “a band channelling their most-pissed fuckin’ fuck you emotions into music and capturing, accidentally or otherwise, something strikingly special”. Formed a little over a year ago in Nottingham, LOVVERS is a group of passionate individuals, loud and honest they portray a form of musical reality often associated with the early 80’s or mid 90’s US acts, many of which were found on the labels SST and SUB POP. Their sound is a chaotic mixture of fractured guitar and mangled vocals, that some how regroups to form a very clear structure. |
