Does anyone take records seriously if they don't have geeeetars in??
and if the band happen to have a dancing monster ,well forget it , no matter how insanely catchy your tunes, wise your words and weird your extended psychedelic jams ,no one will listen, you'll self release your records to widespread indifference only to be reclaimed by some fricking hipsters in 30 years time as some kind of out of time genius, wise up,
john peel recognised this bands genius, but only after he heard some songs with no sax in, see even god himself had his prejudices, don't let yours blind you to misty's

What we say

Rating: unmoved This record left our Ant feeling unmoved.

Phil is rather pleased with himself for his obscure reference to Real Tuesday Weld. He reckons that Misty's Big Adventure's 'I Can't Bring The Time Back' sounds like them. It's a quirky little number with some horns and that.... It's a 7" on Label Fandango.

What the label says:

The flamboyant multi-textured plaything of one Grandmaster Gareth the Birmingham octet have scaled the creative heights with two albums ('The Solar Hi-Fi System' and 'The Black Hole'), a litany of tours with Magic Numbers, Zutons, Guillemots and Pipettes and a veritable riot of upbeat radio sessions. Oh yeah, and they're the bunch of mayhem-seekers with the dancer covered in Marigold gloves. This new Fandango single precedes their 3rd album.

About the humble 7":

The humble 7" is the smallest of the vinyl formats (not including the ridiculous 5") and it's the perfect medium for transporting a couple of new songs by up and coming bands straight into your ears. They're fun and they take up less space in your house than something bigger would. They come in a plethora of exciting colours and fantastical packages, and you can fit about 14 minutes onto one 7". You may have to get up every few minutes to put a new record on but think of the exercise. Don't forget every record you buy plays at least 2 speeds (depending on your stereo) and you need to play all records on all speeds to get the maximum joy from your purchase.
