What we say

Rating: unmoved This record left our Mingus Who? feeling unmoved.

The Telescopes: 'Another Whip' / 'The Blue Shroud Of Alkatraz' (Trensmat) More fuzz-drone, noise from Bridget and Stephen, almost sold out as I write, this is a limited edition 7" on blue vinyl with added bonus of a cd that contains both tracks and a quicktime movie entitled 'Phase Kenesis'. Turn the volume up on this one to reveal the latent textures inherent in such noise based projects. Only 100 pressed.

What the label says:

TR008 is from The Telescopes - another unique exercise in textural & fractal dronescapes. This is a limited numbered edition, coloured vinyl 7" & multimedia CD package in full colour sleeve. The additional CD contains the two tracks from the 7" and a beautiful video by Eoin Shea to accompany a Telescopes live recording of a US show from last year.

About our used items

These are items we've bought from folks and are selling on to you (hopefully). They should all be in as good as new condition unless stated. We also chuck in some rare promo items as well under the umbrella of 'used' just to separate them from the new release stock which arrives daily. It's all very green 'n all....

About the humble 7":

The humble 7" is the smallest of the vinyl formats (not including the ridiculous 5") and it's the perfect medium for transporting a couple of new songs by up and coming bands straight into your ears. They're fun and they take up less space in your house than something bigger would. They come in a plethora of exciting colours and fantastical packages, and you can fit about 14 minutes onto one 7". You may have to get up every few minutes to put a new record on but think of the exercise. Don't forget every record you buy plays at least 2 speeds (depending on your stereo) and you need to play all records on all speeds to get the maximum joy from your purchase.
