Rating: ecstatic This record left Guenther Traber / www.myspace.com/gtstuttgart feeling ecstatic.

if phil is happy about "simple pop" then i must be ecstatic. not just about sixteen. but also about the third song on the cd-version "fun is for the feeble minded", this is going to be the classic of the debut album. listen to rough up-tempo demo version on myspace. brilliant. to me, they“re the best new british band (besides kate mosh)

What we say

Rating: happy This record left our Phil feeling happy.

The Indelicates have a 7"/CDs out on Weekender Music called 'Sixteen'. The woman sounds a bit like Kate Bush... it's not bad this one. One of the better things I've heard on the label. I reckon this will appeal to fans of Fiery Furnaces and hat sort of ridiculously difficult music to pigeonhole. Decent pop music which isn't vaguely fashionable. Excellent.

About the humble 7":

The humble 7" is the smallest of the vinyl formats (not including the ridiculous 5") and it's the perfect medium for transporting a couple of new songs by up and coming bands straight into your ears. They're fun and they take up less space in your house than something bigger would. They come in a plethora of exciting colours and fantastical packages, and you can fit about 14 minutes onto one 7". You may have to get up every few minutes to put a new record on but think of the exercise. Don't forget every record you buy plays at least 2 speeds (depending on your stereo) and you need to play all records on all speeds to get the maximum joy from your purchase.
