Who'd have thought that having someone stick needles into you could be relaxing. That's incredible that is... Which leads me onto Acupuncture Man with their 'My Way My Love' 7" on Blowout. This is a right old noisy rock thrash up. Heavy, distorted, disjointed, slightly aggressive, jerky and bursting with energy. Plenty of feedback and the drums sound like they were recorded next door. There's a rigid structure to the track though. Not a million miles from Sonic Youth's Evol / Sister era. 'Kill Your Idol' on the flip sounds especially inspired by said yoof.
