Crystal Castles: 'Air War' (Trouble Records) This is what I expected from Cazals version of that Spandau Ballet tune. Electro squiggles, bouncing bassline and one finger synth melody. Best thing about this release is the sleeve, a couple with their heads replaced by great dollops of ice cream...umm, ice cream I like. This is like some sort of gameboy pop the kids call nu (g)rave. This is just the right side of weird for me to even consider whether it's worthy of my judgement. Judgement: all right suppose. 7" only!

Brand new track from Crystal Castles, following up their ‘Crimewave’ single. Taken from their debut album, due for release in 2008.
Follow up to ‘Crimewave’, which was Top 10 in the Indie charts and spent three weeks at no.1 in the NME chart. Crystal Castles were one the highlights at the Reading / Leeds festivals this year. Currently in the UK headlining the Vice Unitaur (Student Union tour).
Also confirmed to support Klaxons on tour in December. Crystal Castles have filmed a cameo role in the new series of Channel 4’s ‘Skins’, due for broadcast in January.
