Aidan John Moffat: 'I Can Hear Your Heart' (Chemikal Underground) Is another of those releases that comes in a very appealing package, so appealing in fact that it will remain sealed and hence this rambling monologue giving you a description of what it might contain. Going off the bombast and critical acclaim stickered on the front of this release it's gong to make a very intriguing listen. So, I've gleaned that it's a semi-autobiographical account of the love life of the author's youth, coming across as uncouth as well as brutally honest. Sexually explicit in nature, it's billed as being 'intended for ADULTS ONLY', the cover artwork gives some indication of the natue of these outpourings. Enhanced CD, digital lyric book, bonus five track ep, printable artwork and bonus short story. What the label says: Aidan John Moffat’s first new music since Arab Strap split in 2006. Aidan’s first offering of poetry and prose has already solicited strong feedback from arts press due to the controversial nature of the material. A semi-autobiographical tale based on past events in Aidan’s life. CD limited to 1000 copies in the UK. The album comes in a hard-backed, bound and enhanced format. Beginning with an eight page short story, the album continues over the course of 24 audio tracks. The CD enhancement features a digital lyric booklet, an EP of 5 extra tracks (with downloadable artwork), a bonus short story and a glossary.   Quite simply, this album is one of the most unique and provocative albums Chemikal Underground has ever released.

About the humble CD:

The CD is essentially a small portable face mirror which has an extra feature of being able to play music (through a thing known as a CD player). These CD's are a modern invention hence them being all shiny and digital. They can hold about 80 minutes of music and apparently are indestructible as you can smear jam on them and they still play (not as nourishing as toast mind you but when you're hungry.....). They sound crystal clear and are tiny convenient things. They lack the charm and warmth of their old analogue counterparts but their portability, convenience and ease of being duplicated make them a perfect thing of a thing for most folks. Jewel cases are the worst thing ever though and they really need to stop.

They even checked their logs to see if they could find a trace of it but nothing came out...
