What the label says:

A cracking double A-sided limited Krautrocking dancefloor essential! Taken from the forthcoming self-titled debut album ‘Baltic Fleet’ due for release Monday 10th March. Whilst on a World Tour playing keyboards for Echo & The Bunnymen, Liverpool-based artist Paul Fleming began to write what would come to be his debut album ‘Baltic Fleet’. With a laptop and any instruments that were to hand
he would capture, in music, what inspired him in each city around the world; from Texas to Barcelona to Berlin to Copenhagen to Reykjavik and back to the UK in Brighton. In hotel rooms, tour buses, planes, at the end of radio sessions and sound-checks, every opportunity was taken and tracks gradually started to form into an album. A sound was born influenced by works from artists such as Eno, The Doves, NEU!, Sigur Ros and DJ Shadow. Black Lounge was recorded on the tour bus driving through mountains from Barcelona to a chilly Madrid. Using band equipment that had been left on the bus. A fender Jaguar, a drum machine and a mini keyboard. 3 Dollar Dress was recorded in Houston sound check after a night out in Austin, Texas. Named after a girl who wore a 1950s film star dress that she’d bought for 3 dollars in a thrift store. Written, produced and performed by Paul, the tracks were taken into Studio B, The Premises in Hackney for additional production and mixing with Nick Terry (Klaxons, Simian Mobile Disco). After some heavy-duty valve and analogue processing, the beats got bigger, the sound-scape was widened and the album was complete!

About the humble 7":

The humble 7" is the smallest of the vinyl formats (not including the ridiculous 5") and it's the perfect medium for transporting a couple of new songs by up and coming bands straight into your ears. They're fun and they take up less space in your house than something bigger would. They come in a plethora of exciting colours and fantastical packages, and you can fit about 14 minutes onto one 7". You may have to get up every few minutes to put a new record on but think of the exercise. Don't forget every record you buy plays at least 2 speeds (depending on your stereo) and you need to play all records on all speeds to get the maximum joy from your purchase.
