What we say This record left our Mingus feeling happy. Los Campesinos!: 'Death To Los Campesinos!' (Wichita) Three track CD and two track seven inch single from the latest indie hopefulls. This seven piece are a welcome reaction to the skinny jeaned indie-rock lads dominating the field. Made up of almost equal parts male and shemale this shouty riot of deliriously upbeat pop and party attitude is a sprightly affair is so playful and energetic it makes me even feel like a teen again-and I'm relatively ancient. Drums are in your face, the guitars rage and the melody is lovingly saccharin and addictive.

About the humble CD single:

Another digital format and even though they can hold 80 minutes of information (like a CD album would) record companies only fill up a small portion of the disc. Sometimes only 1 or 2 tracks on there totalling 5 minutes or so. It's like going to a restaurant and getting a plate of food with 2 green beans on and wondering where the rest of your meal is. Sometimes they're lovingly packaged though and when the music is good then you're into a winner. Also you get videos on there sometimes which you can watch on your computer. That is excellent.
