What the label says:

2008 sees the return of one of rock’s most unique and enigmatic duos, The Kills. VV (Alison) and Hotel (Jamie) have long symbolised what draws people to rock ‘n’ roll - downright cool and sexy, and with songs that most other rock ‘n’ roll acts can only dream about making. The production, featuring beats and studio smarts from Spank Rock’s producer Alex Epton aka Armani XXXchange, combined with Alison’s confidently teasing vocals, create a forward-thinking track, daring you to take it on right now.Taking inspiration from Pizza Pizza Daddio, a Sixties documentary about kids in inner-city schools in the USA, The Kills’ Jamie Hince and Alison Mosshart started building rhythms influenced by the children’s dark playground songs, on an old school hand-punched MPC-60 hip hop drum sequencer. The end result is a track that takes you right to the heat of the moment - both timeless and utterly contemporary.

About the humble 7":

The humble 7" is the smallest of the vinyl formats (not including the ridiculous 5") and it's the perfect medium for transporting a couple of new songs by up and coming bands straight into your ears. They're fun and they take up less space in your house than something bigger would. They come in a plethora of exciting colours and fantastical packages, and you can fit about 14 minutes onto one 7". You may have to get up every few minutes to put a new record on but think of the exercise. Don't forget every record you buy plays at least 2 speeds (depending on your stereo) and you need to play all records on all speeds to get the maximum joy from your purchase.
