Ray Rumours/ Francois: 'Mr Bear', 'Swimmers, Drifters' (Too Pure) Split 7 inch of ultra twee, pillow sweet fluffy-ness from Ray Rumours on a label I don't usually associate with such cuddliness. The Francois side is a piano and strum torch song style funeral march. It sounds quite sad and mournful.Not what I expected but if you like it twee and blue... What the label says:Ray Rumours - aka Ros Murray of Electrelane fame – records her shimmering folk hidden away in the safety of her bedroom. Her songs melt in the mouth and stay in the mind, conjuring up afternoons soaked in sunlight. “We could wait forever and more.” |
