What the label says:James Pants is a purveyor par excellence of that unmistakable “Fresh Beat”, a funky and inventive combination of 80s soul, electro-boogie, old school rap, new wave and post-punk disco. ‘We’re Through’ throbs to that uptempo pulse reminiscent of both early 80s boogie and original house music. The analogue synth melodies combine with funky go-go bells and churning congas, for a club-friendly leftfield fix contrasting deep rounded basslines with scratchy and messy Sonic Youth-style guitar fuzz.
