‘Radio’ is one of the highlights of Felix Da Housecat’s fantastic third album, ‘Virgo Blaktro & The Movie Disco’. It’s a shimmering three-minute synth-soul reverie. With its cascading "I can't live without my radio" chorus and dippy goosebump melody, ‘Radio’ could be a kissing cousin of Buggles' '80s hit ‘Video Killed the Radio Star’.
Includes the massive dance floor rework from Shinichi Osawa who composes a Soulwax-style electro-glide which has been receiving great radio support from the likes of Zane Lowe and Pete Tong on Radio 1. Other mixes include Infadels, a jittery tech-punk oddity, Junior Sanchez punishing rerub that zooms and buckles like the tail-end of some disco apocalypse and Paris based newcomer DatA.
