Teenagers In Tokyo are one of these hip happening new bands. Their debut single is called Very Vampyr and Brian reckons it sounds like Help She Can't Swim and as I'm lazy and tired I'll go with that. Debut 7" in embossed golden sleeve and autographed. I can imagine the indie disco floors filling in huge numbers when this tune gets spinned. I like the sleeve a lot though. What the label says: Very Vampyr Robocot  (Knife Machine Remix) Teenagersintokyo are the latest signings to Back Yard Recordings,  home of Gossip and Chromeo to name but a few. Zane Lowe was quickly on onboard when they won ‘Fresh Meat’ and have been spot played considerably since NME put them ‘On The Stereo’ and featured them in ‘Everybodys Talking Out’.    ‘Very Vampyr’ is available on signed vinyl 7” and is limited to only 500 copies.

About the humble 7":

The humble 7" is the smallest of the vinyl formats (not including the ridiculous 5") and it's the perfect medium for transporting a couple of new songs by up and coming bands straight into your ears. They're fun and they take up less space in your house than something bigger would. They come in a plethora of exciting colours and fantastical packages, and you can fit about 14 minutes onto one 7". You may have to get up every few minutes to put a new record on but think of the exercise. Don't forget every record you buy plays at least 2 speeds (depending on your stereo) and you need to play all records on all speeds to get the maximum joy from your purchase.
