What the label says:

Limited edition one-sided green vinyl 12” of the frankly massive remix of the mighty Simian Mobile Disco by Simon Baker.  No digital release – vinyl only.
Simon Baker was asked directly by the band to supply a remix, as his ‘Plastik’ release was one of their favourite tracks of last year. The band released a mix for Mixmag covering their favourite tracks and they included ‘Plastik’.
Simon’s mix is another right on the money tech house excursion in his inimitable style, up there with his ‘Plastik’ and ‘Confused’ underground anthems.
Simon is signed to some of the hottest labels around, including Playhouse, 2020 Vision, Connoisseur, R&S, Leftroom and Viva, amongst others. He was recently selected to make an exclusive track for Cocoon by Sven Vath for his ‘Compilation H’ series.
Simon, now a successful DJ on the world circuit, has been booked at clubs such as Watergate in Berlin, The End in London and Cocoon in Frankfurt.     Limited to 1200 copies on one-sided green vinyl.

About the humble 12":

The 12" is the big brother of records as it's an fatter version of the 7", with a vast scope for an array of remixes and B sides. They are slightly less portable their smaller inched brethren but they're by no means inferior. Often the grooves are spaced wider apart and thus sound much much better. You can fit ample tracks on and if worse comes to worse they make fine plates (should your crockery go awol). Yes, there's a hole but holes are easy to sort out. Once again they're available on many different colours and guises. The best thing about a 12" is the potential vastness of the artwork. Also playable on many speeds!!
