So she looks like Kate Nash, she dresses like Kate Nash but does she sound like Kate Nash? Only as soon as she ditches lyrics about setting fire to your ex's bed and beating him up in a blues drenched, wail that will have Kate running all the way back to Croydon! Review date: 12 July 2008

Florence and the Machine now on Moshi Moshi, no idea what said machine is though.. Maybe a blender or a portable battery-powered bidet, I dunno. To be honest I'm going backwards and forwards between thinking this is horrible to wondering if it's maybe just me being harsh, it's really not my cup of tea at all but I'm trying damn it, I'm trying. I can't help thinking that it's trying a bit too hard to be quirky with the lyrics and the lightly histrionic vocals but the music's decent enough, particularly on the lead track which gets a bit raucous like Diet Yeah Yeah Yeahs or summat. Like the cover though, I'm a sucker for purple!
